Ron Borzekowski
Ron Borzekowski is Yale’s inaugural Executive Director of the Data-Intensive Social Science Center. Prior to coming to Yale, Borzekowski was a Director at Amazon Web Services where he managed a team of economists and data scientists. This team informed business decisions with research on forecasting, pricing, demand, and other topics. Previously, Borzekowski led the Office of Research at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, a federal agency focused on consumer protection in the financial industry where his team informed public policy with economic research about the financial decisions of consumers and households, and the functioning of financial markets. Borzekowski also served as Deputy Research Director for the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission and as a Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Board. Borzekowski received an MPP from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a PhD in economics from Stanford University.
