Perspectives on External Validity in the Social Sciences

ISPS 5-27-26

Please join us at ISPS for a full-day workshop that brings in speakers from across the disciplines, including political science, education, economics, statistics, and operations research, to discuss different perspectives on external validity in the social sciences. Topics are themed around challenges that primarily arise in social science settings and will include new research on site selection, treatment effect heterogeneity, and robust study designs. The workshop will also include an open panel discussion about the future of external validity. Our distinguished invited scholars include Naoki Egami (MIT) and Cyrus Samii (NYU).  LINK TO THE FULL AGENDA OF SPEAKERS AND PAPERS

This event is being organized by Melody Huang, assistant professor of political science and of statistics and data science, with generous support from the Quantitative Methods Program at ISPS.
